Elon dared anyone to name someone USAID cuts killed and Nicholas Kristof, who did research on this, told Elon a lot of names and now Elon’s crashing the fuck out
I've had a handful of people on here who have angrily called me an idiot and told me to read a history book. I am literally a social studies teacher with degrees and certifications. I became a socialist precisely because of my study of history lol
took Frost to the vet today and was like "I know he's overweight, but when I reduce his food at all, he viciously attacks" [showing wounds] and the vet was like ah! you are definitely doing your best. carry on
true. the fact that this was not a 9-0 vote shows that the constitution is not the standard by which the court operates, if there was any remaining doubt. there is no unclear language in the 14th, it does not need to be interpreted. only a new amendment can nullify it.
We have nukes. Noone is attacking us. These weapons are for aggressive force projection overseas, purely to benefit plutocratic commercial interests.
A disgraceful waste of money, time and effort.
A pollinator garden works best when it connects to the next garden. Surrounded by endless lawn, it may be useless.
Most people put one flower bed in the middle of a sea of lawn, maybe around a tree, and call it habitat. It helps, but it is not the best version of what that space could be.
Many native bees are tiny. Some forage only a few hundred feet from where they nest. To them, a yard is a landscape of barriers, edges, nesting sites, flowers, bare soil, stems, shade, pavement, turf, fences, and gaps.
That is why the shape of habitat matters. A 2-foot-wide strip of native plants running along a fence, driveway, sidewalk, ditch, or property line can do something a lonely flower island cannot: it gives pollinators a route to follow.
Research on wild bee communities has found that linear habitat features, especially edges with rich plant life, can increase bee species diversity and help connect bee populations across fragmented landscapes.
In plain English: bees need a highway.
So if you want to upgrade your yard, don't just think bigger garden. Think connected garden. Plant along the fence. Extend the bed down the driveway. Turn the useless strip beside the sidewalk into flowers. Connect your front yard to your backyard. Connect your yard to your neighbor’s yard.
That is the whole idea behind Pollinator Pathways: one yard won't rebuild a landscape by itself, but a block can. A strip along your fence meets a strip along theirs. A curb garden meets a parkway planting. A driveway edge meets a school garden. Suddenly the neighborhood has something no single yard could create alone.
Prince William owns 129,000 acres of land and over 600 residential properties alongside 700 farms. He also owns hundreds of industrial properties.
He also has 3 private residences alongside access to all royal residences.
System failure indeed.
Looked for bears during my whole week in Yellowstone, only to catch this quick sighting of a cinnamon black bear as I was leaving the park on the very last day.
Not the shot I wanted but still cool.
"All human beings on earth are undocumented Americans" goes so hard, it should legitimately be the political aspiration of progressive forces in the US in a nutshell
