@fluxtheorist This paper is mostly about the equivalence relation, not R v C. C structure must in QM. Renou (2021) made a falsifiable version of RQM. This paper constructs one isomorphic to CQM with an axiom ppl may or may not like. Naturally, like all RQM, it will costs you local tomography.

@fizziksBoris @bcubeddd @APSphysics Just a dead historical dispute about real QM from the 60s that Renou (2021) pointlessly ginned up. You can't eliminate C structure in QM. The whole "research" line is either pedantry about scalars, or if you care a lot about if local tomography is mandatory (which picks out C).

@Samuel_Gregson It just seems very natural for hep phenomenology to chase models that produce near-term observables? Maybe it was oversold how plausible these observations where at LHC, but it obviously doesn't kill the ST program.

@Samuel_Gregson For obvious reason the ST & phenomenology most discussed - if not necessarily most believed - were ones with sub-TeV observations. Of course, you'd expend efforts into models that were within reach! It's strange to me now that ppl who should know better consider this failure.

@spiralrevival This can lead to especially dramatic falls bc the limbs are long, the rotational momentum is high, and once the landing blade catches wrong, the body has a lot of leverage to whip around - hence the Jun splat.

@spiralrevival love Jun but his take-off position is often “A-shape" - ankles wide, knees pinched, hips low. His COM is rarely cleanly stacked over the takeoff blade. Instead of pushing up cleanly through the center, the force comes at an angle. So his axis is strange throughout the jump.
