Rep. @brotherjones_ to @RBReich: “They’re spitting on the graves of our martyrs, bringing us backwards in history… An almost entirely white Republican caucus in Tennessee — that’s the system they’re bringing us back to.” #Memphis#JimCrow
A Louisiana resident who identified himself as Marshawn delivered a fiery, emotional speech to lawmakers during a state Senate hearing over redistricting Monday, accusing Republicans of trying to “cheat” Black voters out of political power.
#RestInPower to Rev. Jesse Jackson. Today, we honor a giant whose voice, courage, and love for our people shaped generations. Reverend Jesse Jackson was not only a civil rights icon—he was family to the NAACP.
His legacy sits at the heart of our work and at the center of this nation’s fight for justice. We carry his light forward. https://t.co/4BSEsITjD3
Louisiana’s U.S. Senator just called Louisiana’s Governor Stupid, on CNN without saying his name. So I’ll just make it plain.
Now I don’t agree with Kennedy on much, but the governor of the 50th ranked state going on a colonizing expedition doesn’t benefit the people of Louisiana.
At this point, if you’re a Republican, I can’t even take you seriously when it comes to the people you vote for. There’s no way to spin leadership that consistently fails to improve the quality of life in our cities, our state, or this country. What’s being exposed is a lust for power — not a desire to serve or help people.
I’ve been saying the same thing for years: we can send them all home. It doesn’t take magic. It takes resources, organizing, and people willing to stop settling. The numbers are already here.
Share if you care. That’s how we expose them.
