This expedition team kept busy, launching autonomous underwater and remotely operated vehicles to collect shipwreck data that can in turn be used to "train" machine learning models for shipwreck detection using sonar imagery. Cool, huh?

25 years ago today, Dean Pomerleau and @ToddJochem hopped in the NavLab 5 minivan for a trip from @CityPGH to @CityofSanDiego. The minivan steered itself for 2,800 of the 2,850 miles on the tour — "No Hands Across America."
