I do think that people are really underestimating the risk in a post-Roe world that ad tech poses to women. It isn't just Law Enforcement has an easier time accessing your phone than your home and it isn't just data brokers. States now have private-citizen bounties, remember?
@kookster@Podnews@hearluminary Ooh, Nice! Will go through that and compare with our yml file. Good to sanity check these things, in any case! I also like the comments/links - may add something like that to our repo as well.
@hearluminary@benthompson Actually, it looks like you are caching audio files in CloudFlare CDN edge locations. We're only getting 1 unique request for an mp3 from each Edge IP. (You also seem to have background-refreshing of files enabled, as I see X-Forwarded-For headers without a source listener IP)
@hearluminary@benthompson Update: those requests are coming from a "Luminary/1.0" user agent. I also see a much less frequent "Luminary/70 CFNetwork/978.0.7 Darwin/18.5.0" agent, which does have a non-CloudFlare XFF header.
@kookster@hearluminary@benthompson Looking through our logs at a few recent episode drops ... all are coming from CloudFlare, but almost no duplicate requests for the same file from the same edge server. Sure looks like a normal CDN setup, not a proxy.
@Mbenton158@pritheworld Tried several other scales, but the results weren't quite as interesting as just plain chromatic. Here's the script I used if you want to set this to chord progressions from a Steely Dan song -> https://t.co/Pxn5HZHFFw
@Analytics_Prof @radiotopia Gotcha. Our podcasts are moving to secure HTTPS (not supported by Zune) - an upcoming requirement from Apple and NPR https://t.co/EW7BxIwd7u
@Analytics_Prof @radiotopia RSS seems to be available for me. Can you tell me what app/platform you're using? And is this specific episodes, or the whole feed? Thanks
