105 years ago today, white supremacists launched a terrorist attack on the most prosperous Black community in America. They burned Black Wall Street to the ground, murdered 300 people, destroyed 191 businesses, and displaced 11,000 Black men, women, and children. When the smoke cleared, they called it a riot.
Not one person was ever prosecuted. Not one family ever received a single penny in compensation. The government didn’t just fail Black Tulsa. It buried the truth.
Redeem a Nation by @attorneydamario tells the full story of the Tulsa Race Massacre, the cover-up that followed, and the century-long fight to win reparations for the survivors and their descendants. It follows his work in the courtroom, exposes the systems that protected the violence, and lays out a clear blueprint for what real repair must look like.
On the 105th anniversary, remembrance without action is empty. Study what happened. Share this history. Support the fight for reparations. Get the book and stand with those still demanding that this nation pay what it owes.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to Anacostia Park Friday night after a large group of teens gathered inside the park’s Roller Skating Pavilion.
Video from the scene shows officers working to clear the crowd from the area as the gathering grew in size.
No major injuries or arrests have been reported at this time, and the circumstances that led to the police response remain under investigation.
Officers remained on scene to restore order and ensure the safe dispersal of those in attendance.
Additional details are expected as information becomes available.
This is a developing story.

A Black neighborhood once stood where the Pentagon sits today. It was called Queen City.
Families lived there for years before the government seized the land and cleared the community to build the Pentagon. This is the story of what happened?‼️🤔

@Finalbossjimmy@fox5dc Even if she was targeting blacks you would think parents would track their kids better so they won’t end up targeted..but obviously they don’t care
@Finalbossjimmy@fox5dc And black teens are targeting each other…stop enabling this behavior. I bet if this was your son or family member that was attacked by another teen you would be saying the opposite and demanding punishments
I urge the DC Council to immediately pass emergency legislation to restore the extended juvenile curfew in Washington, DC.
The absence of this vital tool is having a profound negative impact on both public safety and sense of safety in the District.
We cannot afford further delay.
