We knew today we were walking into a trap by entering the High Court but unlike the man who has given himself lifetime immunity, we do not run away from the courts, even though we know these are fake cases. All we have demanded is that our right to fair trial be safeguarded. Now that the prosecution case (tweets case) has burned to the ground, the little boys want to put us in jail by hook or by crook. Suddenly, a fake and concocted FIR from 6 months ago has surfaced. More will surface too. The petty small men think by putting us in jail they can shut people’s mouths. Thats not how it works.

Those who grant themselves lifetime immunity are the ones who are scared of jail. Their fear is at an all time high.

🚨 Front Line Defenders is extremely concerned that the district court has cancelled the bail granted to human rights defenders Imaan Zainab Mazari and her husband, Hadi Ali Chattha, in a case registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016. The defenders have been targeted based on social media publications which call out human rights violations in Pakistan.

The HRDs are being falsely accused of inciting violence against the state, and the trial against them has been rushed, with due process and fair trial rights systematically undermined throughout the process. The cancellation of bail and the likely arrest of the two HRDs will further compromise their safety.

Front Line Defenders believes that the HRDs are being targeted due to their strong human rights work, including legal representation for victims of state persecution, including jailed WHRD Dr. Mahrang Baloch, and members of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, as well as advocacy in blasphemy trials. We call for an immediate end to their persecution and the dismissal of all cases against Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha.

این سی سی آئی اے (NCCIA) کا رویہ غیر پیشہ ورانہ اور قانونی تقاضوں کے برعکس ہے۔ میرے مفصل تحریری جواب کو مکمل نظر انداز کرتے ہوئے، اٹھائے گئے کسی بھی سوال کا جواب دیے بغیر دوسرا نوٹس جاری کر دیا گیا ہے۔ میں نے سابقہ نوٹس کے تناظر میں واضح استفسار کیا تھا کہ الزامات کی نوعیت، تفصیل اور وہ ریاستی قوانین بتائے جائیں جن کی مبینہ خلاف ورزی ہوئی ہے۔ ساتھ ہی مطلوبہ ریکارڈ کی تفصیل بھی مانگی تھی، مگر ادارے نے خاموشی اختیار کر لی۔
میں نے اپنے جواب میں ہائیکورٹ اور سپریم کورٹ کے مستند عدالتی فیصلوں کے حوالہ جات بھی منسلک کیے تھے، جن کی رو سے ادارہ شفافیت اور مکمل تفصیلات فراہم کرنے کا پابند ہے۔ یوں معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ یہ سہراب برکت جیسے متعصبانہ طرزِ عمل پر بضد ہیں۔ فی الوقت میں وکلا سے مشاورت کر رہا ہوں، جس کے بعد بھرپور قانونی لائحہ عمل طے کیا جائے گا۔

According to local sources, Pakistani forces forcibly disappear Baloch youth, and members of Pakistan-backed death squads are also involved. In this video, it can clearly be seen that armed members of Pakistan-backed death squads, along with the Pakistani army, have surrounded a bus carrying Baloch children, elderly people, young men, and women.
Furthermore, in different areas of Balochistan, these same death squad members, who are supported by the Pakistani army, attack people’s homes. Young men are taken away at gunpoint and forcibly disappeared, and women are mistreated. In some cases, Baloch women are also made victims of enforced disappearances

Baloch student, Saeed Baloch, was forcibly disappeared from Islamabad over 5 months ago. His fate and whereabouts remain unknown till date. His family has approached every forum possible including the High Court but post-26th and 27th Constitutional Amendments, even the High Court has refused to issue a production order.

Impunity for enforced disappearances was already entrenched but with the capture of the courts, there is no longer any hope of justice through engagement with the legal system!
