The recent PLU CEC meeting at Naguru:

MWENDA: Comrades, PLU cannot be mighty on empty pockets. I propose that every CEC member contributes $10,000 as a membership fee.

MWENDA: American dollars. Ten thousand each. And frankly, anyone who cannot afford that should reconsider whether they belong to the mighty PLU decision-making body.

EDWIN KARUGIRE: Andrew, that is rubbish. Since when did patriotism acquire a ten-thousand-dollar entrance fee? Your proposal is illegal and immoral.

KIRYOWA KIWANUKA: I reject it too. If membership of the CEC now depends on dollars, perhaps we should register PLU as a forex bureau.

MWENDA: You people want a powerful organisation funded by oxygen? The taxpayers money is not enough.

MICHAEL MAWANDA: We want an organisation whose membership does not require selling a kidney. We are stealing to survive, not to fund an organisation. I am only here for protection.

After 7pm tonight, my partner @kizzabesigye1 was bundled up and taken back to Luzira Prison.

When I left KB at 4.30pm, he still could not walk or talk. At lunch, I fed him soft food with a spoon because his arms and hands remain very weak.

He cannot yet care for himself.
