I have filed an official complaint with @India_NHRC against the brutal assault and harassment carried out by Bhavnagar Police, Gujarat upon a man allegedly accused of murder.

This is an appalling assault on the Constitution itself. When Bhavnagar Police tied, assault and publicly humiliated an alleged accused, it is not “justice” but it is a state-sponsored brutality and a grotesque abuse of power. Article 21 does not end at the police station. An allegation is NOT a conviction; a police officer is NOT a judge. No uniform grants the right to torture, degrade or punish. Every officer responsible must be identified, prosecuted and held accountable.

India is a constitutional republic, not a police state. The Courts exist for the very purpose.
