I watched this guy on stage when I was still finding my feet. He has exhibited such a high level of quality and consistency. He deserves the praise of every single follower of the NSMQ. Congrats, Stephen.
For the first time, I went on my knees today and prayed for Stephen. I asked God to grant this young man victory. To dedicate yourself to something for three years takes more than effort, it takes passion, faith, and love. Yet, when the outcome doesn’t match the labour, the pain cuts deep.
Dear Stephen Kofi Apema Baah,
You have carried the name of Opoku Ware School with pride and courage, not once, not twice, but three times. That alone makes you a champion🏆
Sometimes victory isn’t measured by the trophy we hold, but by the heart we show, the resilience we build, and the inspiration we leave behind. You have inspired hundreds of young OWASS boys who will one day step into your shoes with hope because of your efforts.
Don’t let the noise drown your greatness. Every champion has known defeat, but they rise again, stronger, wiser, and better. You are not a failure; you are proof that perseverance lives in Opoku Ware School.
Your journey in the NSMQ may have ended, but your story has just begun. Keep your head high, Stephen. The story isn’t over. One day, another Stephen will lift that trophy for Opoku Ware School, and he’ll say, “I was inspired by him.”
This year, for the first time, the hearts of many Ghanaians beat for Opoku Ware School. Though the trophy did not come home, we trust that God’s plans are greater than our expectations (Jeremiah 29:11). The same God who saw your efforts will lift you higher in His own time. 🙏
I wish you Well in all your future endeavours, Stephen!
Award-winning gospel musician Diana Hamilton encourages young people to dedicate more of their time and energy to their education and work, rather than spending excessive time in church.
While she acknowledges the importance of spirituality, she emphasized that in order to effectively support yourself and those around you, it's crucial to maintain a balanced life that prioritizes both personal growth and responsibilities.
Even if it remains a nano second for you to make a destiny altering mistake, may the Outstretched hand of God yank you off from it in Jesus’ name. And if you have made it already, may the Mercy and Grace of God speak for you right now in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
This prayer just came to my mind. And I believe someone needs this desperately.
