Across all categories,
- China leads the world at 574,
- Singapore’s rank drops to second, at 555.

And if we break down across Southeast Asia:
- Only Singapore, Vietnam, and Brunei that are above the world’s average (at 436,9)
- Across 91 countries, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Cambodia sits outside the top 50%

Across the last four cycles, from 2012 to 2022, most of the region has stagnated or slipped backward.

- Vietnam fell from 516 to 468.
- Thailand from 437 to 394.
- Indonesia from 384 to 369.
- Only Singapore kept climbing, from 555 to 560 (excluding this year).

Such a summary of our progress (or lack thereof), while China continues to advance alongside its rapidly growing economy.
