Yes, well said. Shun away! Shun Adams, Rowling, the NYT, This Place, Facebook, Fox, and plenty of others. Find better places and better people.

Mastodon on the other hand is built around ActivityPub a new-ish web standard. and you can follow people or hashtags there without even having an account, just use ol reliable RSS web standard by simply adding .rss to the url. https://t.co/j6BYtRgxFf
For plenty of people that's to much work. Thing is Mastodon is actually really close to this in practice.
On Mastodon you can put .rss after a profile or hashtag link. So no account needed to follow people over there. Pretty nice
PSA: Do Not Use Services That Hate The Internet. As you look around for a new social media platform, I implore you, only use one that is a part of the World Wide Web. tl;dr avoid Hive and Post. https://t.co/iYCuIu1tFD
@fabiolean@drmistercody Fair point, I should say it is 'less susceptible'. There are people thinking about this. It's an interesting problem https://t.co/4Ox10OYEYK
Whatever else your complaint with Mastodon might be, it is worth understanding it is not a unified thing. Different instances can provide a different experience, Forks are possible, pull requests too. You can fix or change without much trouble. Please do! https://t.co/jfB06fDdrU
@wesbos@josiahwiebe We can submit pull requests to fix, fork & customize to our hearts content, or even write our own UI from scratch!
If that sounds like to much work, you can just find an instance with a UI more to your liking. There is beauty in this model you might be failing to appreciate
@drmistercody has been pretty good in my experience. decentralized technical stuff makes it a little tricky / different, but means it can't be bought or controlled, so from that perspective many of the differnces and tradeoffs might be worth it
Americans: "We are underrepresented in our government because of the Electoral College, Senate, and Supreme Court!"
The Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929: "It's me. Hi. I'm the problem, it's me."
@TransAlt I see you have an account on Mastodon, but no posts. Would boost it there, but doing my best not to engage on Twitter these days. just coming back to find more good connections on Mastodon etc.
With Mastodon you can sort into specific niches like https://t.co/0RBha17XeY but at the same time not be siloed to just that community.
Bit confusing at 1st, but a really cool feature once you grasp it
To people completely ignorant of actual political realities this may sound like wisdom - checks and balances or something. But, GOP attempted coup, and still veering hard towards non-democratic principles, so, HARD NO! Vote, and don't fucking vote for fascist fucks. kthxbye
