“We Weave a Democratic Iran” Conference to Be Held at the European Parliament

The “We Weave a Democratic Iran” conference will be held on June 11, 2026, in Brussels. The event is organized by the Democratic Platform of Iran in cooperation with several political groups in the European Parliament.

It will bring together representatives of Iran’s nations and communities, political and civil society activists, researchers, human rights advocates, and Members of the European Parliament.

According to the organizers, the conference aims to create a space for dialogue on Iran’s democratic future, discuss the role of different nations and communities in shaping the country’s future, strengthen cooperation among democratic forces, and explore practical pathways toward a free, pluralistic, and decentralized Iran.

The program includes four panel discussions focusing on political participation, the rights of nations and communities, the foundations of democracy, and democratic alternatives for Iran’s future.

Several Members of the European Parliament are expected to deliver opening remarks, and the conference will be broadcast live through the European Parliament’s Multimedia Centre.
