@mraspinall Get training in teaching students how to read (based on the science of reading) and don’t let all those years pass by where students went without their needs being met!

These are great! I know teachers are overwhelmed, but I’m going to pick one and try it next week. Students should expect feedback from their teachers. Feedback is like the water that helps a thirsty plant grow! 🌱
It was so refreshing to hear one of our leaders in our division advise teachers to take TIME to recharge. We had an amazing in-service this morning, but then we were encouraged to do something for US. She reminded us that it will all be there tomorrow. #thankful @SCPS_DeputySupt

So true! No one claimed this return to learn would be easy and some days are tougher than others...but a few bright spots in my week include a beautiful NEW laptop that runs on speed and an AMAZING collaborative lesson with 3 other co-workers!!! #SpotsyStrong@RiverbendBears
We know these are challenging times for educators and families. Please try to take time at the end of the day to acknowledge things for which you're grateful. #SpotsyStrong
When everyone is screaming...
You can choose to listen.
When the world is fighting...
You can be a peacemaker.
While others assume the worst...
You can believe the best.
When the crowd is filled with fear...
You can be filled with a quiet faith in God.
