Our new paper is out in Genes & Development! We found that a small domain in PRC2 โ the SBD โ isn't just structural scaffolding. It's a mechanical switch that powers the whole complex. Remove it, and cancers driven by EZH2 mutations stop growing. ๐งต
This work started during my PhD in Dave Allis's lab at Rockefeller. Dave was a visionary who redefined chromatin biology and a mentor who transformed the lives of everyone around him. He passed away in 2023. This paper is part of his enduring legacy.
I am recruiting postdoctoral fellows to develop new research directions in the lab. We study transcriptional regulation through biomolecular condensates in development and disease, with an emphasis on first-principles and mechanistic discovery. Please RT or share with colleagues.
