@HowAud40899 @CTVNews No, depending on the terms of your mortgage you do not necessarily have to have insurance. The only insurance I've seen the banks require consistently is default insurance, like from CMHC, and even then only if your down payment is below a certain percentage.

@PierrePoilievre Maybe Ontario needs to bring back rent control for buildings built after 2018. They removed controls on new buildings to spur investment in rental housing. It didn't work and here we are.
