I'll never forgive myself for not following the Starship program sooner. I was always interested in space and technology but I somehow never really heard much about the Starship program, I don't think it got the attention it deserved from most media outlets until the full stack flights. I think I actually first heard about Starship through Matt Lowne's "This Week in Space" series which I watched each week during the Covid pandemic.
It was only after I saw that beautiful re-entry footage from flight 3 (and me reaching the end of the mandatory depressed, pubescent teenager years) that I got properly interested in the program, causing me to discover Marcus House, WAI, Astrum, and NSF on YouTube. This re-ignited my passion for space, causing me to Start playing KSP, KSP 2 (RIP😔) and No Man's Sky again. I also started practicing with Blender again because I wanted to model Starship and make a short animated documentary about space (which I never completed because I couldn't make a good sounding voiceover lol).
I eventually joined Space Twitter around Flight 6.
Flight 4 was the first flight I watched live, and, random fact, it was during that flight that I actually managed to build a working SSTO in KSP for the first time. I wasn't as invested at the time so I was just playing KSP with the launch on my second monitor lol. Though, I do remember freaking out about "the little flap that could". Good times, man. But honestly things are even better now 😎.
@Truthful_ast I do think it’s nice to have an international station, it feels very futurist and noble. But I don’t understand why they don’t realise that we can have both. It’s not like as soon as private entities enter space, the government owned space stations will stop coming.
