Good Morning ☀️

is to be willing
to be dazzled -
to cast aside the weight of facts
and maybe even
to float a little
above this difficult world"

La nouvelle entrée principale de la station de métro La Fourche sur la ligne 13, qui est une reconstruction à l'identique de celle originale, remplacée dans les années 1960 par des garde-corps en béton.
Street lights don’t need to be ugly. Biomorphic in Barcelona. With seats built in. The society which created this over 100 years ago was in absolute terms massively poorer than our own. And yet we cannot match it due to a total failure of regulation, aspiration & culture.
Work starts soon to replace the Bankside building on the left with the right. Left isn't perfect. But its mock-warehouse aesthetic is far more suited to the river than the lobotomised crate planned. The historic Anchor pub sits helplessly to the far left. London self-harms again.
Absolutely no excuse. The first social housing estate in Shoreditch has attention to detail, nice large windows and a centred green space. Here are some other early examples of social housing - again effort was made with brickwork details, arches etc
This is quality.
Some people love a whinge, but I think this is great. A nod to Brum’s civic and industrial heritage, and something actually unique to the city. Not an identikit bowl.
We are so back.
@mutianning Interesting. Are you in the UK? I only ask as it is still displaying as the Nov for me. After looking at Amazon US, I think unfortunately there could be a different release window for international sellers.
I am way too excited for the release (November 13, 2025) of this Oxford World’s Classics edition of Marcel Proust’s The Guermantes Way, part of his seven-volume epic In Search of Lost Time. The beautiful cover painting is Monet’s Boulevard des Capucines.
@ZiaYusufUK@Nigel_Farage Zia, reach out to @createstreets. They do great work in promoting beautiful, sustainable and gentle development that enriches local communities and areas.
