Two-Layer Standard System Explained:

1/ ASH (Aevir Standard Host) – Admission & Environment Standard (Top Layer) ASH defines “what kind of host/cluster can be accepted by the network,” covering:
- Hardware thresholds: memory, storage, network bandwidth, etc.
- Firmware & security: UEFI/Secure Boot/TPM status
Software baseline: OS (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04 LTS), driver versions, container runtime (Docker/containerd)
- Observability: network ports, metrics, audit logs
- ASH Profile: all requirements frozen into an executable, verifiable configuration profile

2/ ASC (Aevir Standard Compute) – Compute Category & Performance Tier (Compute Layer) ASC defines the “compute acceleration category” of a node, covering:
- Compute form factor: SoC / discrete GPU / multi-card or multi-node topology
- Benchmark suite: category-specific standardized tests
- Scoring mapping: unifies different compute types into a single TrainingPoint framework
