Goals are action oriented. My goal is to run 2 miles in under 13 minutes. I have many such goals.

I remember asking the nurses if they'd ever felt anything since they're around people dying all the time. They said no.
His name was Jeffrey David Carlson. There are but few remnants of his life in this world. His books, pictures, tools, and papers - all gone. Nowhere in my house to keep them. I write these short memorials to him.
I remember when I was at university, I visited home for the weekend. On Sunday I drove back to campus and realized I left an important assignment behind. Without hesitation (or being asked) he made the 6 hour round trip to deliver it.
People say time flies. For me at least it doesn't seem so. Met with friends from my days in corporate, it's only been 4 years but feels like a lifetime ago.
Going further back, 10 years since last in the States. Ancient history. 20 years since Iraq. Primeval.
Hmm, noticing this pattern again, but time seems to slow waaay down when I’m learning new things. Been studying electrical engineering for what seems like forever - it’s only been an hour.

@eshear Philosophy is abstraction from reality - sitting in your head thinking. It brings you further from the goal, not closer.
I find those constantly engaged solving real-world problems most in tune with what’s real.

Made me think - animals would go insane if they could feel what we do.
