@robertgraham I think the disconnect is because it was a white nationalist rally and advertised as such, and it defies belief that someone is trying to suggest in good faith that "good people" would nonetheless go to such a thing and march shoulder to shoulder with white supremacists and nazis
I remember when Chief Twit wrote "I would like to apologize for firing these geniuses. Their immense talent will no doubt be of great use elsewhere."
The irony on how now Twitter is now suing Meta alleging that some of these people built Threads.
The double twist? They did not!
Christie’s strategy is literally just “be normal” and unfortunately it’s going to fail spectacularly because that’s just not where the r electorate is now
On CNN, Christie addresses the DeSantis anti-trans video:
“I’m not comfortable with it. ... We have big, big issues ... inflation ... education ... This type of video does nothing to address those issues. And it is a teenage ... food fight between Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump.”
If there really is a read limit on tweets (I think it's mostly a lie to cover their tech issues) one side effect is that it encourages everyone to block low-quality algo-boosted bluecheck accounts, reducing the value-prop of those accounts even more.
Not sure if this is actually accurate but it’s definitely a scenario you might encounter if you believe your services will be highly reliable or if your fetch lib has a default retry. Folks always warn against over engineering simple stuff but this is a case where you’d want it
@allinwithchris@chrislhayes Somehow I don't think "I didn't see the recording but you could hear papers rustling in it" is going to be considered a brilliant defense
The year is 2016. I’m listening to a secret recording of Donald Trump that proves his horrendous moral character beyond a shadow of a doubt and will surely cost him the upcoming election.
