@tastybits@afterxleep Coming from the aviation world, I couldn’t imagine shipping without a huge validation stack. I don’t write code anymore. I let agents do that. But I am standing on the validation stack we developed over the years.
@tastybits@alisoncook Looks like Meyerland/Bellaire is picking up restaurants a bit faster lately. Hope that continues. Just heard Pizaro’s is coming soon, sans Neapolitan style though, unfortunately. At least I can get a decent pizza nearby soon.
@rjonesy@zzwitz It is mixed for me, of the two I tried. Strava pushed web hard, but there was still a small button to buy in app. Duolingo was in app only.
@sdw@YIMBYLAND Some of my fondest memories are spending time rocking my kids to sleep. Nothing hits like being able to provide for the most immediate needs to those you love. At some point it stops and you miss it. Then they become teens and don't need you to tuck them in anymore.
@josecalderon@ShriramKMurthi@j_g_allen More than just ATC too. Strict maintenance requirements, regularity in take off and landing procedures, much harder to get a license, tools that show you where accidents happen, limited places to travel from/to, TCAS, ADSB, etc…
@gorhom@EthanLipnik I started with UIKit in 2008 and helped build a very complex for pilots. I prefer SwiftUI. I get more done quicker with SwiftUI and if it doesn’t work out, 5 minutes with an agent to convert it to UIKit. Seems like not a big deal to me today. They’re tools with pros and cons.
@asymmetricinfo Both. The first app architecture you build is almost never the right one. Engineering your way out of it takes an incredible amount of time, detracting from new features. Features drive revenue and get prioritized so bugs build up due to earlier choices you wish you could change
@Too_2A_4U@RPGGrandma@SusieM414141 Or Seaworld specifically. Based on the traffic signs this video was taken about 2 miles from where I grew up which was bike riding distance to Seaworld.
@midori_tomoya I live 5 minutes from there and never go. Low quality compared to other places. I highly suggest Candente in Bellaire. About 5 minutes away.

@drbarnard Haha, don’t (actually, yes do) download Magic the Gathering Arena on your iPad. I’ve got some friend that are extremely good at the game. Hit me up if you need help beating kids :)
