@voipms Are we going go experience the outage issues all over again? I still do not completely know what happened last time nor what was done. There has been no report and I have no tools to know what server to use.
@themagicofnot@Sahamchi@voipms We are having issues as well. Most of my sub accounts are registered on Dallas2. But i have no way of knowing if chosing a different host will help. Ping no longer works. and chat support turns off as soon as the que goes to my turn.
@voipms I had to switch some DIDs to use other servers this morning. I notice the accounts were not registered on the portal. Also calling those numbers sounded busy. After switching POPs they worked again.
@GarageRepairOH@voipms Only some sub accounts do not work on certain hosts. Others do. As I have the same kind of equipment, I can't help but wonder if the POP servers are overloaded in some way. Eventually I get them to register by changing location.
@voipms I just finished setting up additional sip outbond trunks on PBX systems with a different provider in preparation for tommorow. At least they will have outbound. If the caller id works partially, I guess then can call back.
@72yearoldwoman @voipms No changes at all. I got at least 8 of them registered from diffrent sites. I followed the guide from voipms. They all do have the latest firmware from cisco.
@voipms The first day of the issue was pretty bad. The following day was terrible. After that it was annoying and I had to move things arounds. It has gotten more and more annoying. Friday however was a terrible day again. I had no warning thay ping was disabled. Things did not work
@voipms Security by Obscurity. I am not sure I like ICMP being turned off. Pinging was a least a way to check what servers were up without relying on the portal, which has not worked well lately. How do other providers handle this?
@voipms I am having issues with denver2. I can not change POPS because I can not log onto the portal. I need to do this for a bunch of accounts and their DIDs. π
@voipms My understanding is that there may be no established solution to this issue for any voip provider. I wonder if there is a way to just firewall all IPs and open them up by having the accounts submit there IP. This with a combination of proven history and connectivity to servers.
