the cornell story is weighing on me a lot mentally. how the fuck do you reform plain hatred of women? even men who don’t commit explicit misogynistic violence do it implicitly by ignoring and therefore facilitating it. and they all keep getting away with it.
Toronto Police falsely accused a 19 yr old of driving a stolen car - it was a rental which was easily determined & he was an authorized driver. Chased him out of Toronto jurisdiction & extrajuducially murdered him on the border of Oakville Mississauga.
This was a death squad hit
The neoliberal consensus has become so normalized that it is now apparently extremely radical to oppose privatizing airports, something that has been the norm for several decades in Canada.
The assertion that union station n Toronto is unsafe is so laughable. I am there right now and I cannot even fathom by what standard you would measure it unsafe. Why are all these grown men from Whitby scared?
More than a quarter of a million people pass through Union Station every day. It should make commuters feel safe, visitors feel welcome, and investors feel like they’ve arrived in a city that has its act together.
As Mayor, I’ll put a permanent, visible police presence inside Union Station and raise the standard for safety and cleanliness across our transit system.
Toronto can do better.
Real change means setting a higher standard. And delivering real results.

“The documents released to Global News do not show any communications with engineers or the science centre to check on the condition of the roof. Instead, they reveal a back-and-forth as staff tried to hone the political messaging”
So open. So transparent. So full of 💩#ONpoli
You don't live in Toronto. You're an MPP for Hamilton. What gives you the right to rip up Toronto's bike lanes? We put them in to prevent cyclists from being killed, and your reintroduction of them will kill cyclists, and make your government culpable for social murder!
Do you understand how funny it is for her to go “Boston wasn’t inspired by Stick Season, but also I’m gonna give Noah Kahan songwriting credit on this😇”
14 years ago, Anthony Bourdain visited Toronto to explore its food scene for an episode of his show "Layover".
Unlike Montreal and Vancouver, Toronto was never explored through either "No Reservations" or "Parts Unknown"
Here's the places he visited while in the city.
The lack of commerce on the Toronto Islands is pitiful. There should be a private resort out there. I want good food, rentable beach towers, proper showers.
its hard being the only single person amongst my co workers but someone has to shoulder the burden of providing horrific dating stories for lunchtime entertainment
