ICF structures are tornado resistant, but the abundance of timber in the US compared to Europe means it’ll never be cost effective compared to wood structures. In addition to the Midwest’s low population density

A tornado carries heavy debris with it that damages structures and generates uplift that push structures both horizontally and vertically. And high speed tornadoes, while rare, can reach over 480kmph.

Also the Midwest is very low population-density, so building large steel-reinforced concrete buildings doesn’t make much sense

Yall need to accept different environments have different risks and needs.
