You can explore the analyses of our #aging mouse #reproductive atlas through a Shiny app: https://t.co/LmeO0r2OeT It includes differential expression, TF activity, cell-cell communication and links to the raw data.
Scientists from DKFZ have uncovered unexpected long-term consequences of female reproductive function: The constant remodeling of the organs of the reproductive tract during the reproductive cycle leads to fibrosis and chronic inflammation over the years.

Happy to announce that our story on the effect of #aging and estrous cycling on the female #reproductive tract is out @CellCellPress https://t.co/ETvRxjkDIG It was a fantastic effort by Ivana Winkler @DKFZ. Follow the 🧵 to find out the unexpected cost of cyclical remodeling...
Thank you to @tolkachov2112, Fritjof Lammers, Perrine Lacour, Klaudija Daugeleite, @JasperPanten, @FloGrunschlager, @haas_lab and the @odom_lab, it's been a pleasure. Thank you to the @dfg_public for funding.
@mele_lab@DKFZ So glad our work is being used ❤️ the final revised version just came online with a lot more spatial data @CellCellPress: https://t.co/ETvRxjkDIG
Why is the success rate of IVF so low? In our new study in mice we find that oocyte-granulosa intercellular communication is severely disrupted by the exogenous hormones used to trigger superovulation: https://t.co/bxqoIfMvkk
Superovulation causes the release of two classes of oocytes with distinct developmental potentials. These classes can be predicted with reasonable accuracy by non-invasively profiling the transcriptome of the associated granulosa cells.
