When it comes down to it, no two people can produce equal results without having access to equal resources and opportunities. This applies to both inside and outside of education. #3310TXST
@SanchezeAndrea9 If students are not given similar resources and opportunities, then they will never be on similar levels! We absolutely need to provide more aid to students so that they are able to be as successful as possible. #3310TXST
@tegantheteacher This is so important to discuss. Generally, dress codes are targeted more towards females. Even then, female students are often looked at more closely than male students regarding dress code due to the idea that what girls wear is a “distraction.” #3310TXST
In my future classroom, a characteristic that is a must for me is that it feels like a supportive environment. My future students should feel encouraged to be themselves and to learn in ways that best suit them, and I will protect this environment. #3310TXST
@MsEspinozaR This is such a good point! Students are exposed to an out of home environment for so much of their day, and with this they should be exposed to different perspectives and experiences through learning. #3310TXST
@sydneyyyymoore Environment is key!! Students, especially young children, need to feel both protected and supported in many different ways in order to learn in the most effective ways that they can. #3310TXST
Every student will come from different backgrounds and have different skills. I will put in whatever time and effort is necessary in order to enhance these individual skills as well as helping each student to create new ones. #3310TXST
As a future educator I want to make sure that everyone feels equal and appreciated in my classroom. There isn’t a length I would go to to help my students feel heard. #3310TXST
@MissDeandraa Putting our students first is something that we as future educators should definitely be planning on doing and finding strategies that will help us to do so. A supportive, caring environment will set the foundation for a great learning environment. #3310TXST
@tegantheteacher Students need to feel comfortable and supported in order to learn to their full potential, and it is absolutely our responsibility as the teacher to make changes in order to make this happen! #3310TXST
Hey my future educators! It’s important to use Differentiated Instruction in the classroom to meet our students needs. Not every child learns the same way so incorporating different teaching techniques can be great in the classroom. #3310txst
One thing you should know about being a teacher is that we teach anyone and everyone. We can’t choose who our students are, and whoever they are, they all deserve equal opportunities to learn in our classroom. All regardless of disability, age, gender, etc. #3310TXST
@sydneyyyymoore Incorporating different ways that students learn into lessons can both appeal to specific students and introduce others to different ways of learning, resulting in a well-rounded classroom! #3310TXST
@teacherpaytonjo The different ways of learning are endless, and I think that exploring many different ways could be so beneficial for students! I completely agree that art could aid in the learning for many students and is definitely worth incorporating into lessons and the classroom. #3310TXST
Every student is different, and their differences need to be appreciated, especially in the classroom. In Janice Fialka’s poem, “From Puddles to PRIDE,” she states, “On this street are people who will no longer be shunned, excluded, no longer be overlooked, segregated” #3310TXST
I was reminded this week of how important it is to prioritize mental health. Especially as educators, we must make personal time and health something that we take care of every day. If we don't come to class refreshed, we can't expect our students to learn at their best!#3310txst
Students are generally more excited about learning when the teacher is excited about teaching. The engagement of the kids is usually connected to the enthusiasm of the adult.
“We want the education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.” Education is incredibly important, and a variety of influences and perspectives can make it even more valuable! #3310TXST
