I have to somewhat disagree, though I understand the "fast food" sentiment. It really heavily depends on the type of library and what it actually does.

Software complexity can still get incredibly high. At its core, the existence of a new library just means a developer looked at an existing problem and thought, "I can do this better." That foundational drive hasn't gone away; the tooling to execute it just got "a bit" faster.

The intrinsic value of a solid tool hasn't changed. If a library has a clean API, handles the architecture well, and works perfectly on the first try, it is still a good library, regardless of how much AI helped generate the codebase. The real craft has simply shifted toward system design rather than raw keystrokes.

I will concede one thing, though: the signal-to-noise ratio is going to drop. We are definitely going to see a massive influx of incomplete, half-baked libraries out there. That's for sure.

This sounds incredible. I was skeptical at first, but if start integration can be done that quickly, then that does shift the landscape and the potential impact of Octane in the ecosystem quite a bit! Excited to see what comes out of all of this. Will be giving it a try in the near future!

@glazeapp @peduarte the per-row hover effects don't feel perfect and it often gets stuck showing multiple active rows. couldn't get it to fix it after multiple tries. I suspect it is something with the sdk

node_modules is mostly symlinks into a machine-wide store and your teammates still think you're using pnpm

nub keeps the existing lockfile, runs TS directly, and totally replaced bunx/npx for me as well
