building @alifdotbuild | investing in muslim founders

[Afra Nehal @afra_nehal]

Grateful to share that Alif now has our first office!

Had so much fun doing this build-out - even though I only had 3 weeks to go from first viewing to first move-in.

There's something so special about bring a vision from a few badly drawn sketches to the physical world.

I'm incredibly excited to turn this into a place that people can come to do their life's best work.

If you're building something cool, shoot me a DM — I'd love to chat.

really feeling this lately

the ones who played it safe when i was 22 are now out of a job.

the ones who took risks, even minor ones, are miles ahead of the pack

they're turning down opportunities daily, and im starting to see the power law in full effect

[Alif @alifdotbuild]

[Afra Nehal @afra_nehal]

best thing that's happened to SF

[Alif @alifdotbuild]

We opened Alif HQ a month ago with one bet:

Put the most ambitious builders under one roof and see what happens.

We didn't know where this experiment would go.

But a month in, we realized something special is happening here.

We have founders, creatives, and builders, all collaborating towards common goals.

Comment "HQ" if you want to be a part of this.

[Alif @alifdotbuild]

Muslim founders are so good at downplaying their startups that investors, customers, and their own teams stop believing in them too.

Building at Replit x Alif.

[Omar Waseem @omarwasm]

We just signed the lease on our new @alifdotbuild HQ.

It's 8,000 sq. ft., smack in the heart of San Francisco.

I'll be honest - today, it's too much space for just our team + portfolio.

So we're opening it up to the ecosystem, just in time for Ramadan.
