So proud of my team, we stood together through everything. Hard work never goes unnoticed.
I was once a ball picker, standing on the sidelines, dreaming of moments like this. Now I wish, If even one ball picker today picks up a bat tomorrow believing they can become a cricketer, then THIS VICTORY MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME.
Grateful to my family, Zalmi management, and my friends for always being in my corner, no matter what 💛
Pakistan cricket isn’t short on talent; it’s short on transparency and merit.
Sarfaraz Ahmed moved from franchise cricket into the Pakistan Cup, then into junior cricket as a mentor, then into a selection role, and now he has become the head coach in the ultimate format of the game Test match cricket without any substantial sample size.
At the same time, his close associate Asad Shafiq is already serving as a women’s team selector, managing the Karachi academy, now appointed as men’s batting coach, and also part of the selection setup. This overlap of roles raises a serious question: is this a professional system or a closed network?
Meanwhile, Saad Baig dominates with 1000+ runs in a season, and Rohail Nazir continues to wait endlessly despite being ready, while selection goes to Ghazi Ghori instead.
Shan Masood continues as captain despite an average close to 32. Where is the performance benchmark?
Kamran Ghulam is once again ignored, while Asif Afridi, after a strong last-match performance, is still dropped. Abrar Ahmed, a proven wicket-taker, is also excluded. Hurraira, who impressed everyone with his talent and scored double and triple centuries in domestic cricket, has been sidelined after getting only a couple of chances.
Winning or losing aside in Bangladesh, what matters most in any system is merit which is clearly lacking in Pakistan cricket. 🇵🇰

What a country !! Took a loan from the IMF, then stopped a potential World War, also attacked Afghanistan, talked ceasefire with China, then became a Global Peacemaker, also stood with Iran, then condemned attack on KSA, then negotiated with Trump while the nation watched PSL.
Not an easy decision, to raise the fuel price, but a necessary one nonetheless. As a nation, our economy can’t afford to absorb the cost. Only targeted subsidy is the way forward.
Having said that, the government policy to claw back the incentives on solar panels, energy & net metering just goes to show how incompetent our policy makers are, if not intellectually dishonest. 20,000 to 27,000 MW of Pakistan’s total energy output is based on roof top solar, the single most important factor that is keeping us afloat in this difficult time. I hope the decision makes would stop listening to DISCOs & bring back the old solar energy incentives.
The sharp increase in the price of petroleum products has led to the worst wave of inflation, government constraints are in place, but how will the common man survive ?????
While fulfilling the IMF, the poor will die and the middle class will go below the poverty line.
If the unfortunate American and Zionist attacks on Iran are not stopped immediately, millions of people in the third world will starve to death due to their war hysteria ...
Curse be upon Donald Trump, Netanyahu and their cruel facilitators who are obsessed with wars...
@rumshum12 Government is incompetent to manage this situation. Many efforts could have been done like other countries are doing but their lack of awareness and incompetence has led to this situation.
At Rs.458/litre, Pakistan now has the 2nd most unaffordable petrol on earth relative to income. Only Ethiopia — with a $1.50 daily wage and $1.30/litre fuel — ranks worse. Every other country, including the poorest in Asia and Africa, is behind Pakistan on this measure.
Recent Price Hike by the Government of Pakistan is massive. Failure and non competitiveness of government to manage this situation is quite visible now.
