I couldnt call my mother inlaw by her first name and her neices and nephews who were far younger did. I had so much cultural inhibitions to call her by first name but i adapted in formal settings in the US. It is first name first.

@Big_Mck It is the dissonance we see. I worked in an MNC with offices in Nigeria. I called MD by first name while in the same meeting refer to DMD as "Sir"😀😀😀. Meanwhile oyinbo intern 21 yrs go call same DMD by first name meanwhile me i go dey struggle.
