@alexdbauer@jspujji@saracamden Oh, and please don’t force him to practice or treat playing as a reward/punishment. Even though us musicians love our instruments, we still burn out sometimes. On the flip side, we need to have that outlet especially in times of stress. Take that away, and bad things can happen.
@alexdbauer@jspujji@saracamden As far as what to do: cultivate his love for it, and do what you can to fuel that further. Take him to see live music, ask your music friends for some recommendations on great piano players. Show him what that instrument can do, and he will motivate himself to become great at it.
@alexdbauer@jspujji@saracamden This is a big decision for piano players without a doubt. I started out as a guitarist myself, but picked up piano as a secondary/tertiary instrument at 14. I was taught some classical methods, but ultimately my ear took me towards jazz and pop which has been more useful IME.
@BillyonBass Excellent choice! Fort Wayne local myself, Proximo is indeed wonderful. Next time you’re in town you should check out Tolon or the Copper Spoon for dinner!
What in the ever loving FUCK is that?!?! I wouldn’t re-sole my shoes with that. Congrats on using your gas stove to ruin a steak. The only person who should be banned from using a gas stove is you @steinkobbe
@steveubl They don’t threaten new treatments and cures. They only threaten your profits. Maybe a healthcare company should actually CARE about patients, and not just money? Good try Steve. Think about that with your $2.25m salary, if your money is more important than a life
