Yesterday, I really outdid myself. Showed up at 2 PM for IU vs. #1 UCLA, only to find out the game started at 12. Watched it on TV instead—because clearly, reading schedules is hard!
On Saturday, I decided not to get up and work.
Slept in until around 9 a.m., then made breakfast bread with Yunbao.
These pre-made doughs are super convenient! Big thanks to my good friends Gwen & Jeses for the recommendation

A quick task ends up taking nearly 2 hours. Every day feels like flow state.
Final Stage in the US
Woke up early (4:45 AM) so I could start working—no need to save energy for IEP anymore, ha!
This week is also final exam week at IU, so for the first time, I’ve seen students getting up earlier than me in the quiet study room, ha.
First things first: Writing down this week’s plan.
Lastly, a reminder to all my friends: See you on Wednesday at 8:00 PM for the 50 Dream stream cast
I read a book about waking up early yesterday.
At first, I was curious about how the author managed to turn such a simple idea into an entire book.
After reading it, I realized the author used a novel-like style and a lot of imagination to create a long story based on the idea: Why should we wake up early, and what are its benefits?
Although I’m someone who enjoys waking up early and agrees with the author's perspective, I found the stories in the book too far-fetched. For example, right after waking up, the book suggests doing an intense workout for 20 minutes, then sitting down for 20 minutes of reflection or meditation, followed by 20 minutes of learning. As an early riser myself, I don’t think that routine is realistic! Ha!
Just a quick note after finishing the book. 😊
Write Down Your 50 Goals and Change Your Life!
Every year, I write down 50 goals and then narrow it down to a few key ones I really want to achieve. Not all of them get done, but this process gives me a clear direction and focus.
The key is: write them down! If you don’t, you won’t even know what you’re aiming for. And if you don’t achieve them, just keep trying and write them again! After doing this for 20 years, my career and life have far exceeded my original expectations.
Give it a try—list your own 50 goals. You’ll be amazed at how the simple act of writing can help you understand what truly matters to you.
Dream big, pursue your dreams, and make them come true. #GoalSetting #DreamChasing #LifePlanning
This time in the United States, I want to take the opportunity to publish one of my books in English. Should I choose "The Art of Gamified Teaching," "The Art of Presentation," or "The Art of Teaching"?
Thoughts?
Just used AI technology to translate my latest book, "The Techniques of Gamified Teaching" into English. Hoping for a chance to share this book with people all around the world! 📚🌍
Spent some time creating the English version of my website. Maybe our efforts in Chinese 'Teaching Techniques' can also help more teachers around the world. https://t.co/DAVzfXl8MY
Recorded a podcast interview with Chief Editor Qi Liwen, the Executive Manager's right-hand man. He's usually the one doing the interviewing, but it was great to turn the tables and learn more about him. This episode is going to be fantastic! #ChiefEditor#ExecutiveManager
Interviewed on 2 podcast episodes today, and translated an article.
What are the differences between Teaching Gamification, Game-based Teaching, and Educational Game Software?
