@ewangibbs I think a bigger indicator of how skint a nation we are is the absolute state of our roads just now. In general, our infrastructure is falling apart. Am not sure if the burst pipe indicates a reduction in maintenance programs.

Thanks so much to TJF directors for hosting Matthew and I yesterday. It was a super day. @Brian_Welshy and the rest of the staff do a super job in hospitality. Even if brian described me as a jammy bastard after winning hospitality for the 2nd time is a season. He has a point.

@Hardie8oy A good grass pitch is better than asto but at this time of year a lot of grass pitches are in a bad nick. If you’d asked me a few years ago I would have said grass, but now I think both have merits. Astro has got much better.

@Hardie8oy Martin - what about hampden at the weekend? Some grass pitches are not great at the moment, and as a thistle fan - our pitch was a disaster last year. I’d think that some asto pitches are better than grass just now.

@petepaphides I found the story compelling. My kids went to the school (one still there). But I actually found the format and story telling disappointing. Obviously some budget and legal challenges but some major holes. Eg - how did the girls on holiday find out about his age.

@martindempseyyy That’s not the way I read it but have only skimmed the rules. If a player can be in an offside position and be allowed to influence play legally, then that rule needs changed. It’s not as bad as the handball rule right enough
