The Umundu Artivism Digital Literacy class today 23/04/2024.
We're grateful to have more young people interested in gaining a skill or more at our digital hub.
The beauty about it is that we have peers who are wholeheartedly coming to train the learners on different skills.
In January, Brian joined @umunduartivism Digital Literacy class as one of our pioneer students.

One of our latest climate-smart initiatives as The Umundu Artivism has been the production of energy-saving charcoal from mud. Burns longer minimizing the need for alot of charcoal when preparing a meal.

We aim at being financially smart so we set up a FinArt Program. It is an informal savings scheme where our incredible creatives can save up for a given period of time depending on the individual. Withdrawals before the due date are only allowed incase of an emergency. #FinArt

8/1/2024: Our computer skills training has kicked off. Once the team learns computer basics, we will introduce them to online learning courses and allow them to use The Umundu Artivism Center and tools for learning.

Yesterday being Menstrual Hygiene Day, 28th of May, The Umundu Artivism met a group of young girls and women at Kigaritho, a small village in Runyenjes. We held a talk on menstrual health and the importance of observing good menstrual hygiene.

This morning, we are super excited to announce that The Umundu Artivism (our mother organization) finally has a place to call home/office/workshop/studio for our creative productions, at the heart of a remote village in Runyenjes.
