Ukrainian Ambassador to the @UN@SergiyKyslytsya reads text messages between a Russian soldier and his mother moments before he was killed.
"Mama, I'm in Ukraine. There is a real war raging here. I'm afraid. We are bombing all of the cities...even targeting civilians."
I am very happy to be a keynote at the new "Datasets & Benchmarks" track at #NeurIPS2021. 😊
Benchmarks in particular are very dear to my heart, and it's a huge sign of progress that there's now a dedicated track at @NeurIPSConf. I am excited and honored to be a part of it! 🎉
I only learned today that @Nature picked my comment on "Understanding deep learning is also a job for physicists" into the Nobel Prize in Physics 2021 collection https://t.co/Y8BnpalVa5 Nice :). Finally explains some of the calls I got last month!

@hanianow It’s not well established field full of unambiguous answers (yet?). Equipping graduates with sensitivity to this topic seems to be great gift to them as future experts in the field. You don’t need to give them all answers ex cathedra to do a good job!
@MrsCaroline_C@jantegze You’re the Recruiter who thought me what is the unique human essence and value of this work which cannot just be automatized by algorithms. I believe, that companies willing to create a heathly work environment should embrace it, and if they don’t, good luck with their „efforts”.
