"The blackouts wear us down. 96,000 people waiting for surgery -- 11,000 of them children. Things we know how to do, and do well. Yet we are held back by what is collective punishment, a criminal policy, a truly genocidal policy."
-- President Diaz-Canel, on the US blockade.
My heart breaks daily thinking about the 168 schoolchildren that the US slaughtered in Minab. And then my heart breaks once more realizing that we live in a world that has moved on and where the people responsible for such unfathomable cruelty will never be held to account.
There is a Quranic verse hanging behind his head in a frame that looks very old. The verse says: 'And say: My Lord, increase me in knowledge.' It is clear that this Israeli is living in a house stolen by his father from a Palestinian family after they were either killed or displaced.
As if that wasn't enough, he is now headed to Gaza to target and kill children.
US corporate media does so much work to dehumanize Iranian leaders. Soleimani was a prime example of this, where the same glaring, foreboding image of him is the sole depiction shown to western audiences. Reality reveals that men like Khamenei, Soleimani, Ghalibaf and Argahchi - while strong and resolute - are also caring, sensitive, loving people who have no reservations about revealing their full humanity in public. We in the west are the truly dehumanized ones; our governments murder these people in cold blood and full abandon, then we rejoice over their extrajudicial executions and mock their mourners with sadistic glee on social media - and then wonder why they call America "The Great Satan".
@karaokecomputer It's truly remarkable how psychopathic this ideal is, and it has done incomprehensible damage via colonialism and eugenics for generations. All that work to make themselves feel strong by enslaving and slaughtering, yet they're the weakest, most pathetic leaders on the planet.
@karaokecomputer Men in the West are afraid of their own emotions, of love, sacrifice and trust, more than anything else. Our leaders would never show this as caring for other human beings is seen as shameful. That's why they will always underestimate Indigenous resistance, spirit, and strength.
This should be evidence in a war crimes trial
A British spy plane circles Khan Younis—the major area of fighting in Gaza at time—for 2 hours on 28 July 2025
We learnt later that intel gathered was being sent to the Israeli military in real-time
Starmer needs to be indicted
Not sure if al-Jazeera intended for this to be anti-Iran propaganda but it's totally working out as pro-Iran propaganda for me, just when I thought I couldn't love them more<3
11 years old. 8 hours in the Operating Room. Bilateral fractures of thigh bones. Skull fracture. Severe facial laceration with loss of tissue. Fractured jaw.
More surgeries needed.
Israel did this
Shocking images have begun to emerge from inside prisons, revealing a reality beyond endurance. This photo was taken yesterday of a young man who was transferred directly to the hospital after his release from prison, his body exhausted and severely damaged by neglect. The doctor who examined him was in shock, saying she had never seen such a case before.
Norwegian scabies is spreading rapidly inside prisons, leading to a severe deterioration in prisoners’ health. There is no medical care, no medication, no water for bathing, no hygiene supplies, and not even clean clothes. Suffering worsens day after day with no intervention.
Where is the world in all of this? Where are those who speak about human rights? What is happening is not just neglect, but a humanitarian catastrophe being committed in silence… as if these victims do not exist.
Thread on the Salam government's attempts to obstruct Iran's cease-fire talks and prolong the war:
The “Salam government” will soon become a term that not only designates this current illegitimate administration in Lebanon, but acquires the force of political condemnation and disgrace, emerging as a new descriptor for forms of political treason that exceed the historical analogies typically invoked. Comparisons to Vichy or to the government of Mahmoud Abbas are analytically inadequate, since both were the product of occupation and, in the case of the former, defeat. What makes the Salam government historically unique, and necessitates a new conception of collaboration, is how it is actively defying military victory and the liberation of its territory while also relentlessly obstructing a ceasefire that Iran was on the brink of securing for Lebanon, pursuing instead a prolongation of the war, further occupation, and potentially annexation of that territory. 1/7
We are not talking enough about the ordinary Iranian laborers who've been the unsong heros of this war
You all saw the railway bridge getting rebuild in 3 days. It's not just the engineers who are worthy of our admirations.
Workers From street sweepers, to waste haulers, to municipal workers who were tasked with removing debris and cleaning the city after the bombing, to glaziers and builders who went to help damaged houses.
Road construction workers, electricity workers, fleet drivers, rail workers, and even gardeners!
You may not believe it, but despite the bombings, spring can be felt in the streets. Especially Esfahan, which is known for its clean and flower-filled streets. Everywhere you go in the city, it is filled with freshly planted spring flowers, just like every other year.
There are Lebanese politicians posting photos of destruction across Beirut on Wednesday and blaming Hezbollah.
It’s baffling.
I don’t care how much you hate Hezbollah.
Israel dropped American supplied bombs on us. Israel destroyed those buildings. Israel killed our friends and families. Israel committed a terrorist operation against Beirut, against Lebanon.
Any official with an ounce of integrity would condemn the perpetrators instead of trying to join them.
Shameful disgraceful people.
The US-Saudi-imposed Lebanese President and Prime Minister saw Zionists commit a genocide in Gaza and launching a genocidal campaign against Lebanon and thought: obviously a true peace partner.
The most ironic part? The prime minister, Nawaf Salam, was an ICJ judge who voted in favor of the court taking on the genocide case against Zionists deeming it “plausible.” He was later elected as ICJ chief before resigning early 2025 to become the Lebanese Prime Minister forced by Saudis and the US.
The President is the former Lebanese army chief. He was the chief all throughout the genocide, and later the war on Lebanon, including the terrorist pagers attack, until 2025 where he became president.
Best part? After Iran announced that one of its conditions is a ceasefire in Lebanon, they both rejected, saying that a ceasefire in Lebanon is a different path. Of course, this serves nothing but to push for normalization, green light the Zionist massacres and occupation, and an attempt to force Hezbollah - they key and most competent defender of Lebanon - into surrender. In that context, normalization here is offered not to protect Lebanon, but protect Zionists, and its US backers, from a Lebanon that is capable of protecting itself.
Both these figures have firsthand experience of how genocidal Zionists are, including against their own Lebanese citizens. Their actions constitute complete treason, and they should be tried as such.
