Amanda Pritchard has today been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of NHS England.
Amanda will be the first woman in the health service’s history to hold the post, which she will take up on Sunday 1 August.
Had the loveliest send off from my wonderful colleagues at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust last week. Feel grateful to have worked with such amazing people in Radiology and beyond.
Now time for a week off before the next adventure, this time in Newcastle! 💙
@David_Miller18@JessyDouble I, clearly naively, assumed the public would follow official guidelines only from credible sources. Also, there’s talks of lockdown potentially being eased from MONDAY (to be confirmed in today’s briefing). We’ve done it this long, why can’t people wait an extra few days?
@JessyDouble I completely agree - it was so frustrating seeing the amount of people sunbathing, and even more people not trying to social distance when walking past each other. There was police presence too, who didn’t say anything to any of the groups... disappointing.
