I highly recommend STAYING AWAY from @FreedomShowers. I'm 90% sure the sku I added to cart is not the one that got ordered, though I can't prove. But their policy on returns of new products is "sucks to be you!" Which is especially disgusting given their vulnerable clientele.
@bakuvents@pokipok0@YungMick089@anarchoboognish Very true! There are more, rare, genotypes than that and even aside from that, gene expression doesn't always work out exactly as expected. It's all fascinating. But biology is rarely ever clean or without exception.
@pokipok0@YungMick089@anarchoboognish I should also note that HRT can address some of morphology too since a lot of it is controlled by hormones. Again, complicated.
@pokipok0@YungMick089@anarchoboognish I'd say sex compromises of your morphology, your endocrinology and your genetics. HRT addresses one, surgery can address another. We have no way to change genetics currently. So I'd say it's complicated. But that's okay.
@ma1ybe Computer people who look down upon women in computing need to learn computing history. Women have ALWAYS been a part of it. Not just a part, but insanely influential in its development.
@YttriumRapier@Autumnmmnm@Sarahthelizard NGL, her name has tripped me up before and I've accidentally misgendered her because of that. ๐
But good for her for taking her own path. No shade to those who choose to change their name, but neat to see someone doing their own thing and just not.
@saraaa7447 Can I just say, IDE has master and slave. Some newer devices have a jumper position where they automatically choose between the two, and they really missed aj opportunity to call that position "switch."
@barry_l35352 Yes, a man laying with a boy is an abomination because it's pedophilia and children cannot consent. Now a man laying with another man on the other hand is not mentioned.
@BriannaWu Is that with insurance or without? I want to be up-front that purchasing HRT is not something I am personally familiar with. But not everyone is insured. I'm hoping even without that it's cheap. My other points would still be valid either way.
@BriannaWu Some can't afford it. Some don't have access to it, especially in red states. Some may have underlying medical conditions. Some may just not feel it's necessary for them personally.
To me, that doesn't make their gender identity any less valid.
@BriannaWu That's the thing though, it doesn't matter what your sex is. You are a woman. Full stop.
My concern is when that same dignity isn't handed to those who do not take medical intervention for whatever reason they may have.
@BriannaWu I'm not familiar with the term "second segregation" tbh, and Google didn't help. So I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I'd like to know. Obviously I know what segregation is.
@BriannaWu On the contrary, it allows inclusion of those who cannot or do not wish to take medical intervention. To say they MUST take these medical procedures to be legitimate is a privileged view IMO.
@haydendevs My strat was to buy an old HP scope from the 90's on eBay and fix it up. Although maybe get one with a color screen. I love mine but WHICH TRACE IS WHICH?
@BriannaWu@nancy_incognito I agree. For me, it's more that the separation means that I view a trans-woman as a woman whether they've had any medical intervention for their sex or not. Since to me, the two are uncoupled.
I know the two definitions have historically been tied. But that can change.
