This excited me the most. Use the overlap and go inside, micro-feints, shoulder movements, create the indecision and get the defender square on. This is what I talked about the when I first saw Diomande, it’s the ball position under his body that allows him go either way. Obviously, being comfortable with either foot always helps but it’s what he does before he explodes on the outside. Without going into the technicalities of hips and body orientation, he makes the defender defend two directions at once, then attacks the one he can longer reach in time. Yan Diomande is the real deal. #LFC
