Vice President Vance is trying to shift the blame for his failed negotiations onto others, making one false claim after another simply to avoid admitting that the talks with the Islamic Republic failed because of his own naïveté and his lack of understanding of how the ayatollahs’ regime operates.

Because of his misplaced optimism toward the ayatollahs, Vice President Vance gave this terrorist regime a major opportunity to humiliate the United States on the world stage.

The Vice President of the United States also appears to have little understanding of the Iranian people. He seems to view Iranians—who are victims of the regime and are fighting for freedom and democracy—as a threat, while treating the ayatollahs’ regime as a trustworthy negotiating partner.

I hope Mr. Vance comes to understand the realities of the region as soon as possible. As long as the ayatollahs’ regime remains in power, there can be neither stability nor lasting peace in the Middle East.

Erfan Shakourzadeh, a master’s student in aerospace engineering (satellite technology) at Iran University of Science and Technology, has been transferred to Qezel Hesar Prison for the implementation of his death sentence.

He had said:

I am very skeptical of this report.
I think they asked US to stop the operation after they saw the response to the attacks against UAE. They figured out they were going to be hit and US was not going to respond. It would have been a disaster for them while the benefit would go to others.
Everyone who has talked to Arab monarchies knows how consequential the 2019 abandonment was and how it shaped their view. This will be much worse if not corrected.

I see the Left is already saying that a deal with Iran is Obama 2.0.  That will be part of the spin by the Democrats and the Woke Reich isolationists no matter what is in the deal.  As will the spin that this military operation was not necessary, that Iran was never a grave threat, and the situation is worse as a result.  This will be the narrative.  And the Republicans are, as usual, scared of their own shadows, demanding an "off ramp."
