@PamKeithFL As a person living in North Carolina, we are as confused as everyone else. This just doesn’t seem right. My guess was that some republicans voted for Trump but decided they couldn’t vote for Stein or Robinson but it truly doesn’t make sense no matter how I try it out.
@ArchaeoBenjamin They do all the time in states where it’s a red state but there are many blue votes. On a national level, they obvs see certain states as separate but I’m not sure that holds.
Can I say something controversial? I don't think this is the whole picture. I think many Americans don't realize how readily white women in non-liberal areas (so, most of the country) accept subjugation.
@thvlyt My state doesn’t even make sense right now. We voted for a Dem Gov, Lt Gov, AG, and Sup of Schools. We blocked the super majority in the state congress. Yet we went to Trump
@AlyssaM_InfoSec My state has made me very confused. We are okay as in that we have a good community and we have a solid plan if the need arises but my heart breaks for this country.
If there is anything we can do to help you during this time, we are here! WNC 💕 you and I have time.
Just a reminder, none of North Carolina's big suburban counties have reported anything yet. We're in the middle of the "red mirage" stage of the night. Pour yourselves a drink, people.
How often do you reach out to your elected officials after you vote? None of them are going to perfectly align with you but knowing that you can then work to guide policy by continuing to voice your opinion in inboxes, via letters, and at public meetings. Local level matters most
It’s an emotional election and clearly getting the best of everyone - myself included. My last statement here is votes are earned, not deserved. I will not harbor any guilt if Kamala loses because it was her responsibility to win over voters and her campaign was like
Yesterday I went to the school to volunteer for Halloween. A kid was dressed as Captain America so I said is Captain America here to save the day? He said, “he’s out to lunch.”
@LindyMyles@unriitten @KendrasUsername Thanks for clarifying. I was like I knew it wasn’t 7 kids because they said they were about to be a family of 7 and then my math skills failed me 😂
