Watched the video. Indeed Marx’s vague end point of everyone having everything while doing no work sounds pretty “chill”.

However, the eternal problem of 21st century Marxists is that the history of people trying to get to this “chill” end point wasn’t at all “chill”.

And the problem with these previously failed projects was NOT reactionaries who didn’t think “Communism is Chill”.

As Burns well knows, multiple times in the 20th century, huge groups of people trying to implement Marx’s “chill vision” took over giant countries, shot everyone who didn’t like their “chill vision”, and took 100 percent of the political power to build their new “chill society”. Surprisingly, the result of doing this IRL was NOT so “chill”.

Fake Millennial Communists know this objection exists, they know they have no honest answer for the problem, their only response is to call all Marxist movements that failed to take power “chill” and all Marxist movements that succeeded in taking power “not chill”.

Thus, by linguistic definition, real “chill” communism has never been tried.
