Master thread on the 2015-2022 closure of the Internet, the process by which every major Internet platform went from broadly open with a few basic guidelines to strict narrative enforcement, often with the collaboration of govts and outsourcing moderation power to NGOs.

Good morning!
As I continue work on yesterday's project, I want to share the most valuable tool I've ever created—published under my real name.
This resource cross-references Bible verses with the Ante-Nicene Fathers, a 19th-century classical series documenting early Christian writings. Click on any blue-highlighted verse, and you'll see which Church Fathers (pre-325 AD) referenced it.
Why does this matter?
The New Testament is unique in all of antiquity—it can be largely reconstructed entirely from quotations in contemporary writings. By comparison, the earliest surviving manuscript of The Iliad dates to the 10th century AD despite being written in 8th century BC, yet it is still considered the second most well-attested ancient text in history.
The very existence of the Gospels affirms Luke 16:31.

Now that we know who's behind the @Bybit_Official attack. Let's look at how the hack actually worked.
At a high level, the hack involved the 4 broad group of events:
1. Attacker deployed a trojan contract and a backdoor contract.
2. Attacker tricked signers of the upgradeable multisig "cold" wallet to authorize a malicious ERC-20 transfer to a trojan contract
3. Instead of transferring tokens, trojan contract replaces the master copy of the actual Safe multisig implementation contract with the backdoor contract, which is solely controlled by the attacker.
4. The attacker called sweepETH and sweepERC20 to drain the wallet of all its native ETH, mETH, stETH, and cmETH tokens.
Ive fought beside Americans and on several occasions they risked themselves to save Canadians.
And we did the same for them.
For the most part, it was Americans who cared for our dead over there, as if they were their own fallen.
When we needed medevacs for our fallen, they came for us, regardless of danger.
When we carried our fallen on the final ride home, they fell in beside us and honoured their loss. As we did for theirs.
And you fucking soft, sloppy entitled fucks, think booing their national anthem is resistance?
Is productive?
Retards.
