Writing this without an iota of hate of ill-will toward @Ram_Guha , @HartoshSinghBal , Harish Khare, @tavleen_singh @waglenikhil and many other Gandhi family baiters who have repeatedly targeted Rahul Gandhi and his politics of opposition to the Modi led BJP. I now understand that most of you are still fighting the @INCIndia of 1975 and 1984 among others just as the Sangh is fighting the Congress of Gandhi and Nehru. Much of legacy media and social media are dominated by these two groups. But here's a third group which became politicised in 1992 with the rise of Hindutva- the pro- Rahul Gandhi voice on social media is roughly this group of Gen X ers and a motley mix of a new millennials and GenX.

We are disturbed by the repeated attacks on Rahul Gandhi not because we are members of the Congress party or are blind followers of any cult- we are disturbed because the anti-Congressism of the earlier groups is blinding most toward the clear and present danger that stares before us - the existential threat to our Republic. Rahul Gandhi is among the very few of our politicians who has been able to consistently articulate that danger by his fearless attacks on the Sangh and its agenda of destroying the secular fabric of this country. He might never become Prime Minister of this country - but history will be kinder towards him than many of you would like to believe.

अगर CJP हवा-हवाई पार्टी है तो इतना लोड क्यों लेना? विरोध में इतनी एनर्जी क्यों झोंकना? बबल है तो ख़ुद फूट जाएगा। अगर उनके 'कॉकरोचों' की बड़ी तादाद सिर्फ़ इंस्टाग्राम पर है तो आप अपने 'बब्बर शेर' के ज़रिए ग्राम ग्राम अपनी ताक़त दिखाइए। अपने अपने प्रदर्शनों के वीडियो और फ़ोटो दिखाइए लेकिन CJP से तुलना में पड़े बग़ैर। इससे कुछ हासिल नहीं होने वाला।

ठीक है कि कांग्रेस के समर्पित कार्यकर्ता भी छोटे, मध्यम और बड़े, कई प्रदर्शन करते रहते हैं, लाठियां और पानी की बौछार खाते रहते हैं... नीट और सीबीएसई के मुद्दे पर भी किया है। उन प्रदर्शनों को और बड़ा कीजिए। देश बहुत बड़ा है। आबादी बहुत बड़ी है। पीड़ितों की तादाद बहुत बड़ी है। मुद्दे और भी हैं। आपको तो किसी ने रोका नहीं है अपनी ताक़त दिखाने को! आपकी शिकायत है कि मीडिया नहीं दिखाता, तो कब तक उस गोदी मीडिया की बाट जोहते रहेंगे जो आपकी गोद में तभी आएगा जब आपकी सत्ता आएगी। जब भी आए।

और आपको लगता है कि CJP का उठान या तूफ़ान तो सिर्फ़ सोशल मीडिया तक ही सीमित है... तो आप भी गांव-कस्बों की सोसाईटी से लेकर सोशल मीडिया पर छा जाइए। आपके ऑनलाइन सिपहसालार भी तो कम नहीं हैं! कम पाते हैं तो बढ़ाइए। जेन-ज़ी के दिल में उतरिए। और पहले से उतरे हुए हैं तो फिर चिंता किस बात की?

आख़िरी बात। CJP अपने जिस मक़सद या टास्क को हाथ में लेकर चल रहा है वो आपके कहने से तो रुकेगा नहीं। आपका विरोध उसे और लेजिटिमेसी ही देगा। इसलिए हे वत्स, CJP जो कर रहा है करने दें। आप अपनी रणनीति पर ध्यान दें।

सुझाव है। लेना है तो लीजिए। नहीं तो मत लीजिएगा। कोई ज़बर्दस्ती नहीं है।
