Final crop insurance plant dates for #corn and #soybeans
If producers elect to keep planting corn or soybeans, they will lose 1% of coverage of their underlying policy for each day that passes in the late planting period.

See below for information about LRP and the upcoming policy transfer deadline. LRP insurance policies can only be moved once a year, and the deadline is coming up on June 30th.
Also, please note if you have had an inactive LRP policy, that policy may now be cancelled after 3 years of inactivity. If you have any questions on LRP, reach out to a licensed AgriSource crop insurance agent.

Received word this week that Iowa NASS and other states have discontinued their 2026 weekly crop progress reports. No more district planting, soil moisture, or district harvest estimates.
We’ve used this district data for the past 25 years for many purposes and it’s quite disappointing that as technology advances, the information flow back to the farmer and grain industry has gone backwards.
