@ligma__sigma@RealKhaylee I think it is more truthful to answer that we cannot be certain the clock is set correctly. Or that our wristwatch is keeping good time. Or that NTP hasn't been spoofed and your cellphone has an incorrect time (or location!)
Personal "knowledge" is very finicky and subjective.
@joewatchdogtx@RealKhaylee I like it when I'm asked if I can spell my name (when they really meant for me to please spell it for them).
I still get a kick out of this and truthfully answer, "yes, I can!"
Ah, simple pleasures.
@chhopsky@RealKhaylee I think the point is not to look at one's watch or clock. And then truthfully be able to answer "no, I do not."
But playing this with your situation, the correct answer would be something like, "not certain, but my watch (or the clock on the wall) shows so-and-so."
@quasistable@aakashgupta Besides the buggy math, nobody ever climbed up into their attic to create a slot & then drop spent razors into the "full" 8 foot (or whatever) tall space between the studs.
(Or, for the ARs, put a slot right under the ceiling & had to use a step ladder to drop their blades!) ;)
@septisum Look up the three "laws" by Arthur C Clark.
Pertinent part...
"When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong".
@tatarianempire@kangminlee Perhaps.
However... After watching public reactions from both sides about what is going on in some European countries regarding immigration reform, I don't see a lot of idiological or pragmatic merging.
Corruption isn't limited to one ideology. Would public disclosure help?
@WallStreetApes We "need leaders to pass legislation against..."? Yeah, no!
(All we need are even 'more' laws. We wish laws would stop bad behaviors. They don't.)
This is all very bad, but the real answer is buyer beware. Please put the idiots out of business by not doing business with them.
@Rolnicek@Object_Zero_ Yeah, but as opposed to still reaping the incredible wealth of bleeding edge knowledge they would likely have still gone producing.
@Emokwx I don't think it is "shocking". Same or similar effect from aircraft contrails at certain altitudes & conditions.
At the right temps & humidity conditions (dew point), a bunch of vapor-spewing vehicles on (gasp!) highways tilt toward the formation of fog (aka, ground clouds!)
@Jaselton@adcock_brett In other words, why not remove pointless or useless movements or actions and make the robot actually efficient without any other changes?
@Jaselton@adcock_brett LOL, they might as well look around to see if any supervisors happen to be watching and then go take a coffee, smoke or bathroom break.
@SWIM_likey@ItIsHoeMath YT clip titled "Netanyahu Calls Christian Influencers WOKE REICH CRAZIES" includes the relevant segment: https://t.co/uiNhsHRy0J
(Abt.... "We talked about the woke right... I call it the woke Reich... because these people, you know, they're not any different from the woke left.")
