Last week I had a great visit with Chief McTaggart and the officers at @DMPolice. Their service and commitment to protecting Des Moines alongside @USAO_SDIA and @AGIowa is unstoppable. Communities in Iowa are safer under the leadership of Chief McTaggart, U.S. Attorney David Waterman, U.S. Attorney Leif Olson, and @AGIowa Brenna Bird.

Yesterday following a @HSTaskForce investigation, a Dominican Republic cocaine kingpin and leader of a D.R. based international drug trafficking organization was extradited from Colombia to Puerto Rico and is in custody to face narcotics trafficking charges filed in two separate indictments in Puerto Rico as well as money laundering charges in New Jersey.

During the Homeland Security Task Force investigation, law enforcement seized millions of dollars worth of cocaine and narcotics proceeds from his drug trafficking organization. Numerous other members of the organization have already been convicted.

Under this administration, federal law enforcement has the tools to find these high-profile drug lords and dismantle their organizations anywhere in the world, because we have a leader in @POTUS Trump who unified a permanent interagency task force across all 52 U.S. states and territories. #MakingAmericaSafe

Thanks to the great work of @FBI and our law enforcement partners, an alleged terrorist plot to attack the New York State Capitol was prevented last night. 

According to the complaint, the defendant swore allegiance to ISIS and planned to carry out a future deadly attack with explosives on the NY Capitol building while Senators were meeting. Thankfully, this scheme was disrupted, potentially saving many lives.

This is just the latest example of federal law enforcement stopping a terrorist attack in its tracks, before the unthinkable could happen. @TheJusticeDept and our law enforcement partners will find anyone who even considers harming Americans and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

Serving as the White House Press Secretary over the past year and a half has been the honor and adventure of a lifetime. I am incredibly grateful to President Trump for granting me so many extraordinary opportunities, such as working in the West Wing and spending countless hours in the Oval Office, flying around the world and meeting foreign leaders, and traveling across our beautiful country and meeting Americans from all walks of life.

Most of all, I am thankful to the President for entrusting me with the distinct privilege of speaking on his behalf at the White House podium. I have spoken with great pride about the many historic accomplishments of this Administration, and I have relished holding the liberal media accountable and ensuring the American people hear the truth about President Trump’s successes.

Being a mother and welcoming a new baby while working in one of the most demanding jobs in the world has been the most rewarding yet challenging season of my life, to say the least. The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.

President Trump has asked me to continue serving as a top advisor to him on the outside, and I will always remain a vocal advocate for MAGA and the Republican Party.

Our country is facing an existential threat from an increasingly extremist Democrat Party that seeks to destroy everything great about America, and I believe it is incumbent upon all of us who care about this country to fight back against that threat. My fight is entering a new phase, but it is far from over.

Thank you again to the President, the First Lady, and the entire Trump family for your kindness and generosity over the years. Thank you to our amazing Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for empowering me since the day she hired me on the campaign, and to the President’s cabinet, my staff, colleagues, and friends at the White House who work so hard on behalf of our nation. It has been a privilege to serve alongside so many accomplished and impressive people, and I look forward to cheering them on over the next two and a half years.

One year ago today, the Make D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force surge began in our nation’s capital at the direction of @POTUS.

John Solomon from Just the News broke the news on Wednesday that Majority Leader John Thune and Senator Tom Cotton are blocking DOJ investigator Joe diGenova from obtaining the transcripts of John Brennan’s interviews with the Senate Judiciary and Intelligence Committees.

This is holding up the investigation into Brennan and his roll in the deep state coup to take down President Trump in 2016.

Apparently, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche refuses to authorize a subpoena to the US Senate to obtain the documents.

What is going on?

Today, the convicted criminal who stalked and murdered Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, and attempted to shoot their daughter—was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences, plus a consecutive 40-year prison sentence. This murderer will spend the rest of his life behind bars for his heinous acts of violence against public servants and their families.

This Justice Department will continue to hold accountable anyone who seeks to harm public officials and their families to the fullest extent of the law.

Our hearts remain with the victims’ families, loved ones, and all those whose lives were forever changed by these horrific attacks.
