Angela Bassett on working with Tenoch:"I know he was so excited in one moment. One day, he was saying just what this character was going to represent for his people and for his land and for 🇲🇽 and all of LatAm. It was like, “Yeah, we know, buddy.” We walked that path. We get it."
I love how they envisioned and defined #Namor's flight movements and fighting style and, even more so, considering Tenoch played (american) football for several years. It just makes it, coincidentally, so more fitting.
This is important. It was Tenoch who approached Ryan Coogler to point out that he doesn't 'look Mayan'. His Purépecha ancestry came up when asked which ethnicity his physical traits would relate more to. Ryan then decided that #Namor's father would be of Purépecha origin. (1/2)
