@AnjaliEnjeti You probably won’t find the Queen, but you know you have her if the bees head into the box / bucket by themselves as they follow her scent.
Bedsheet helps to both catch any loose bees that fall down, and to make it easier to see them walking in.
End result:
@AnjaliEnjeti The equipment needed is highly technical.
Actually, I’ve used:
- Old water dispenser on telescopic pole
- Bucket or cardboard box to collect bees in.
- Bedsheet
- Brush
@danbarker P.S. I’m also concerned that if they are looking at LBS because a firm recruits from there, that firm *might* have a snobbish opinion of such courses. Not everyone knows this and may part with cash without knowing.
@danbarker It does offer a brand-name seal of approval that the basics will have been covered, but I’m concerned that prospective students will overweight its value. A portfolio built using free/cheap tools would be more impressive but for time-poor people that might be unrealistic (2/2).
Conversion rate optimisation fail @CostaCoffee - why on earth would you change the menu screen roughly EVERY 5 to 10 SECONDS before anyone has a chance to read it?
Even the super basic public guidance from @NCSC says private orgs should ask “Are there really no corporately available solutions that will achieve the same goal?” adding “you shouldn't use any of the apps for SECRET or above”. https://t.co/HXXBkD5r1v
If this is true, the use of WhatsApp (particularly if on a personal mobile phone - and with someone known to exploit vulnerabilities) for the highest level of government business is a huge security risk. It also suggests official records are unlikely to be kept.
@Seanog1982 In most cases, I think just hyperlinking the relevant text is sufficient. For something more robust, I’d use a variation of AMA i.e. numbers in brackets like (1) where 1 is linked to source or to refs at bottom of page - see https://t.co/TpWHxxvlRm
The more you know about a sector, the less you trust Google.
e.g. I have 30 or so recipe websites I trust, but they never rank in ~top 3 pgs. I trust 20 or so CROs, but they don't either. Same w/ men's clothing, video game reviews, travel tips.
Does everyone experience that?
@Seanog1982 Where I need good referencing, Zotero is great. Evernote for web clipping other stuff. Notion also very good and if you are ok with a steep learning curve try Obsidian (1/2)
The Master of Arts degree at Oxford, Cambridge and Dublin has been doing heavy lifting for a few centuries… got mine for £50 and a few words of Latin https://t.co/17wFifuhrI
Dawn Butler or any MP should be able to call out another when they lie - especially in the Commons.
A sad state that it is easier for an MP to tell porkies in Parliament than for another to call them out for it. Archaic rules hinder accountability.
@Dominic2306 I think we need to think of what ideals will win the public imagination for environmental protection. Case study: US ideals of the romantic wilderness etc. in 20th C https://t.co/Y3htCj0cmk
I’ll admit, I’ve often discounted PR as an option. Partly as I’ve considered it harder and less guaranteed for B2B vs other tactics.
I’d love for this guide to show me how and prove me wrong.
I'm thinking of putting together some sort of guide to Digital PR.
Could you answer this tweet with:
1. Any questions you have about digital PR / how to get media coverage.
2. If you'd be interested in it.
(And do retweet if your followers might be interested)
